Celebrant Services
Celebrants officiate and lead personalized ceremonies for a range of life's milestones, including weddings, funerals, vow renewals, and baby-naming ceremonies. We work closely with clients to create a unique and meaningful event that reflects individual values and wishes, often offering an alternative to more restrictive civil or religious ceremonies.
Weddings and commitment ceremonies:

For couples, celebrants provide personalized, non-traditional wedding ceremonies and other relationship-based rites.
Weddings: Celebrants conduct wedding ceremonies that tell the couple's unique love story. Unlike registrars, who follow a standardized script, celebrants offer flexibility in the venue, theme, and content of the ceremony, including personalized vows and readings.
Vow renewals: For married couples, a celebrant can lead a vow renewal ceremony to reaffirm their commitment to one another.
Commitment ceremonies: Celebrants also officiate ceremonies for same-sex couples or others seeking to honor their partnership without a formal marriage contract.
Adoption celebrations:
A special ceremony may be held to formally welcome an adopted child into their new family.
Funerals and memorials:
A celebrant can help a family navigate the grief process by creating a memorial service that truly honors the deceased.
Memorial services: The celebrant works with the families to gather stories and memories, which are then used to craft a unique service that celebrates the life of the person who has passed.
Celebrations of life: These less formal ceremonies, often centered around joyful memories, can take place at a variety of non-traditional venues and include personalized details like the deceased's favorite music or foods.
Scattering services: A celebrant can oversee the ceremony for scattering a loved one's ashes, providing a formal or informal way to say a final goodbye.
Naming ceremonies:
For parents who prefer a secular or inclusive ceremony, a naming celebrant can lead a special event to welcome a child into the family and community.
Traditional naming ceremony: An alternative to a religious christening, this event is designed to honor a baby or child and formally announce their name.
Naming for older children: A celebrant can lead a naming ceremony for older children, including those who have been adopted or are part of a blended family.
Personal name change: Celebrants can also mark an individual's transition and formation of a new identity with a ceremony to recognize a personal name change.
Other life events:
Beyond major life events, we offer celebrants ceremonies marking other milestones.
Retirement: A celebrant can officiate a ceremony to honor a person's significant service and welcome their new beginning.
Promotions: A ceremony can be used to recognize the new challenges and opportunities of a career advancement.
Reunions: A celebrant can help celebrate the gathering of family, club members, or other groups.

Free Little Library
Our Little Free Library is a free book-sharing box on the porch of the Manchester House.
Anyone may take a book or share a book. The box functions on the honor system. You do not need to share a book in order to take one. If you take a book or two from our little library, try to bring some to share another time. It is ok to sit on the porch to read or chose your book.
This Free little library was set up to honor Dr. Roger Duane Harman's love for books and reading. His family is very proud to present and maintain this Charter for the Manchester Community to enjoy!
If you would like to make a financial contribution to the Library, there is a box on the side. Along with a QR Code to scan and Venmo your donation. Thank you for your support.
We do support the Color Series in our Free Little Library.
